Serbia’s leading bank Banca Intesa signs up for Beta Systems' SAM Entry Package

  • Bank will be implementing Beta Systems’ IdM solution for all employees
  • Additional agreement for rapid deployment service pack to minimize extra IT workload
  • Package includes connection to several enterprise systems

Berlin, Germany. January 9, 2012 – Beta Systems Software announced a new customer win today with Belgrade-based Banca Intesa, Serbia’s leading bank, having signed a three-year contract for its SAM Entry Package. The fixed-price identity management offering includes licenses, maintenance and integration with up to three standard enterprise systems. It will enable Banca Intesa in Serbia to securely and cost-effectively manage user permissions, provisioning and related functions for employees throughout the country.
Banca Intesa Beograd is Serbia’s No. 1 commercial bank and is based in Belgrade. It has 207 branches in 120 cities and 1.4 million customers throughout the country. Its products include retail and small business loans, savings, bonds, guarantees and farmer loans. Banca Intesa Beograd is a member of Italy’s Intesa Sanpaolo, a commercial banking group that has subsidiaries in 17 countries.
Recognizing the importance of user identity and access management, Banca Intesa has signed a three-year contract with Beta Systems for its new SAM Entry Package. The package is a fixed-price, all-in-one offering from Beta Systems that makes it easier for enterprises to implement effective user ID management while keeping costs transparent. In addition to the installation services provided as part of the package, the bank has also requested Beta Systems' special service package for rapid deployment. These services will ensure that the project is planned and executed efficiently without creating extra workload for the bank’s IT team. Once the system is deployed, Banca Intesa will benefit from lower administration costs and higher security due to automated user ID management. The solution will also enable Banca Intesa to make cost savings with its role-based approach to user administration. This takes a business process based view of user roles, making them easier to manage across platforms from a single point of administration.
